overview

  •     VJDirector2 (Live production software) is a Windows-based soft workstation for multimedia editing, recording and broadcasting, and support HD.Features include special effect switching unit, CG editor, VGA capture via network, vitual cam, subtitler, video recorders, network broadcasting system, simple drive broadcasting system and linear editing system.
  • PS:VJDirector2 has 4 different editions with different features:Streaming, Standard, Ultimate and Delux.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
  •     The system contains 3 to 10 input channels that support multitude input methods, including analog or digital device, real-time network steaming, files, pictures etc.
  •     And there is a new feature of VGA capture in VJDirector2, you can use VJVGA function to capture an other computer's screen or a region of the screen.
  •     The system supports real-time switching among all channels, and supports various 2D and 3D switch effects which can be extended, customized and upgraded.
  •     It also supports real-time subtitle, logos, and it's own powerful CG editor which has various effects like clock etc., you can achieve fantastic real-time video.
  •     The system enables a variety of output methods, including real-time streaming(MMS etc.), AVI /WMV files, Virtual device output, hardware device output(via Decklink or 1394 card).

DESCRIPTION OF SYSTEM FUNCTIONS
PS: VJDirector2 has 4 different editions(Streaming, Standard, Ultimate，Delux). Features vary with different editions.

1.input

  • Input channel  :Three to ten input channels that support multitude input methods, including analog or digital device, real-time network steaming, files, pictures etc.
  • Analog input: Supporting various capture card which base on WDM driver, including USB cam, DV, video recorder, video capture card etc.
  • Digital input  : Supporting 1394 cards.
  • Video File input  : Supporting input in various file formats: WMV/Real Media/Mpeg4/Mpeg2/AVI etc.
  • Picture File input  : Supporting input in various file formats: BMP / JPG / GIF / PNG / DDS / DIB / TGA etc.
  • Streaming input : supporting Windows Media streaming.

2.REAL-TIME SWITCHING EFFECT

  • Supporting switching between any input channels.
  • Supporting various 2D/3D switching effects.
  • The Effects can be customized, extended and updated.

3.LOGOS

  • Supporting 1-4 logos, which can be set to any of the four corners.
  • Logos support single files (bmp/jpg/gif/tga and etc.) and TGA file sequence.
  • Supporting animated and transparent logos.
  • Knocking out the background color of the logo intelligently.

4.SUBTITLE

  • Supporting auto and manual subtitles.
  • Subtitle can be loaded from file or manual input.
  • The font can be customized, supporting numerous font effects: 3D, shadow, frame etc.

5.CG EDITOR

  • You can publish CG elements include text, picture, picture sequence, clock and timer on the video.
  • Supporting publish CGs by a remote computer.
  • Supporting various 2D/3D ticker moving effects.
  • The time, speed, region of the effects can be customized.

6.HD SUPPORT

9.VJVGA CAPTURE

  • You can use VJVGA function to capture an other computer's screen or a region of the screen.
  • Just install a little program on the computer which you wanna capture from, you can get the screen via network. Also you can capture more than one computer's screen.

10.OUTPUT

  • Web streaming output -- Supporting web streaming output, which is directly published on Internet, like MMS.
  • File output -- Supporting output to file, saved either as WMV or AVI video format.
  • Hardware device output -- Supporting hardware device output, such as sound card, video card, 1394 card. The system also Support Decklink cards which can output video signal via HDMI,SDI,AV etc. (VJDirector2 Standard/Ultimate edition only.)
  • Virtual Device Output -- Also VJDirector2 can work with other encoding software, such as Flash media live encoder/Windows media encoder/MSN/SKY PE via its.

  • Q: Why there is an error dialog box popup when software starts up.
  • A: Possibly is the video adapter driver does not support Direct3D, or Direct3D acceleration disabled.

  • Q: Why does the software prompt channel load source failure?
  • A: If load a media file, possibly is lacks the DirectShow decoders, please find and install third party decoder package or download from http://www.nagashare.com/download/codecs.zip. If load devices, please confirm whether there is a audio device (some video devices include audio device such as DV).
  • Q: What is the difference between unregistered edition and registered edition?
  • A: Unregistered edition has our company's LOGO in output video, but the function is same to registered edition.
  • Q: Why do the white colors of the corner banner disappear?
  • A: Software digs out the white colors by default. If you need the white colors, please use TGA image files.
  • Q: Why does some switch effect class have no effect?
  • A: We will provide more switch effects for later versions.
  • Q: Why does the software use so many cpu and memory resources?
  • A: Please read the readme.txt file to check whether your computer meets the software requirements.
  • Q: Dose VJDirector include any hardware such as video capture card?
  • A: No,VJDirector is only a software,but it supports all video hardware based on Windows DirectShow,you can use the trial version to try your card first.
  • Q:How to use the VJVGA capture function?
  • A:Deploy VJVGA capture by the following steps.
    1.Install and run VJVGACap in a remote computer (the captured computer);
    2.Select a channel in VJDirector software, click "Load Source" button and input vjvga://ip:port into the "Video Source" in the popup "Select Source" dialog box. Ip is the IP address of the remote computer. Port is the listening port (8015 by default) set in VJVGACap on the remote computer, for example, vjvga://192.168.0.28:8015. Then click OK.
    3.The remote computer must be connected to VJDirector computer with network cable and accessible via IP.
  • Q:What is the CG editor?
  • A:CG file is a file edited with VJCGEditor. This function facilitates quick publish of the edited text and graphic subtitles. For the use method of VJCGEditor, please refer to VJCGEditor help document. By clicking "File" button, CG file may be loaded. After loading, all CG pages will be indicated in the list in form of thumbnails. After that, select the page to be published, click "Send to Pre-monitor" to send it to pre-monitor screen for preview and click "Send to Monitor" to send it to main monitor screen.
